Participate in an exciting international eHealth course for and internship opportunity in Europe

The Institute of Philosophy and Semiotics invites students from all University of Tartu masters’ programmes to participate in the online course “E-Health Opportunities & Challenges: IOT, AI and Ethics” (5 ECTS) to find out more about tech influence and challenges for eHealth sector.

The course is a good chance to meet students from all across Europe and is interdisciplinary – it brings together students and scientists from various disciplines, for example engineers, programmers, scientists from arts and humanities etc. The online course ends with a workshop where participants can try and solve a real-life eHealth challenge. The best students from the course win an exciting opportunity to get an internship in a company in Europe that develops innovative IT-solutions to health problems.

Registration to the course is necessary (open until 7th of February) https://athika.eu/course/

This course will allow the students to establish the basis of the eHealth sector from a perspective of real challenges, as well as the technologies (Internet of Things, Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning) that can be key to the evolution of the sector, always from a humanistic perspective and ethical reflection of the technological solution.

The course was developed in the Erasmus+ project “Advanced Training in Health Innovation Knowledge Alliance” (ATHIKA) and the ethics part is thought by Kardi Simm, the Associate Professor of Practical Philosophy at the University of Tartu.
